Almost everyone has definitely experienced opening a holder of left over food that they have stored in the refrigerator for a long time. Mold and bacteria are usually the cause of bad odor and the fuzzy appearance of the item. The use of well sealing and air tight holders is recommended by the US Department of Agriculture. The reason behind this is to keep bacteria out from the left over food. Less bacteria will grow in prepared food and less dry goods will get stale if less oxygen can get into the holder.

Aside from sealing well, individuals can have peace of mind knowing that high quality holders can resist chipping, warping, scratching and cracking.
